Fernando M. Martin is a research officer in the research division at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Martin received his MA and PhD degrees in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004 and 2005, respectively. He also holds BA and MA degrees in Economics from Universidad Torcuato di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Fernando worked as an economist for the Central Bank of Argentina and as an assistant professor and associate professor at Simon Fraser University. He is a former visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis and the International Monetary Fund. His current research interests are macroeconomics, monetary economics and public finance. His publications include articles in the Journal of Monetary Economics, the European Economic Review, the International Economic Review, the Review of Economic Dynamics and the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, among others.
