I'm reaching out about opportunities for juniors and seniors interested in economics and I was hoping you could help me publicize it. I work on the Walmart Economics team, which uses a mix of data science and economic research methods to design experiments, perform causal inference, and inform business strategy. The team is led by John List, professor of economics at UChicago, and many former team members have gone on to Econ PhD programs at MIT, Harvard, UChicago, Stanford, Yale, and more. I was hoping you would pass along this opportunity and the below info to potentially interested students! Thank you, Jessie W |
About the Role: Walmart Economics applies data science, behavioral economics, and experimentation to problems across the company – leveraging Walmart’s vast data to understand causal impacts and influence business strategy. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in PhD programs or looking for a chance to apply economic theory, data science, and quantitative skills to big data sets and real business problems. Locations: Bentonville, AR Hoboken, NJ (internship only) |
