Environmental and Natural Resource Economics, Applied Microeconomics
She received her B.S. from Texas A&M and her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky (the latter received in 1988). She joined the faculty of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio where she was promoted to associate professor in 1993. As a result of a sabbatical spent at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N., she established ties in Rome, Italy and eventually joined the faculty of The American University in Rome. After four years in Italy, she has returned to the U.S. and joins the faculty at Washington University in St. Louis as a senior lecturer. Her research has included the econometrics of damage control, intellectual property rights as related to biodiversity, human trafficking, environmental and regional impact analyses, recreational demand and land use.
